We are committed to processing your personal data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we process about you as an individual and for what purposes. We also explain the rights you have to protect and, if necessary, enhance your privacy.

2. What personal data do we collect?

2.1 Data we collect directly

  • Phone number

  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Address

 

c. For billing or processing payments

  • Bank account number

  • Business registration number

2.2 Public data and data we collect indirectly

Dewo Europe nv sometimes processes public data, such as information that is subject to a disclosure requirement, has been made public by you, is generally known, or comes from official sources.

2.3 Information you provide to us

When you contact us by phone, we may ask for your name and phone number.

3. Why do we collect your personal data?

Your data will be used for various purposes:

3.1 Contacts at clients or prospects

  • Orders and Billing

  • Promotions

  • Warranty

3.2 Potential new contacts (business cards)

When you give us your business card, we will add you to our database.

3.3 Suppliers

We collect necessary contact information, such as email addresses.

4. Who receives my personal data?

As a general rule, your personal data will not be shared with third parties.​

 

Exception: During events, data may be shared for organizational reasons.​

 

Possible external parties:

  • Accountants & consultants

  • IT service providers

  • Transportation companies

5. How long will my personal data be retained?

Your personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in section 3.

Of course, we retain your personal data in accordance with any applicable statutory retention periods and any applicable statutes of limitations.

6. What rights can I exercise?

  • U You can view your data

If you want to see which personal data we process about you, you can do this by exercising your right of access.

Dewo Europe nv will provide as complete an overview as possible of the personal data held about you. We can already confirm that no special categories of personal data are kept (such as race, ethnic origin, health data, data regarding sexual orientation,…).

  • You can have your data corrected

If there are changes to your personal data (such as name, address, e-mail address, ...), you can always have this corrected or completed.

 

  • You can have your data deleted

If you believe that we are processing certain personal data on an unlawful basis, ie without a proper purpose, you can request to have your personal data deleted.

 

  • You can request that the processing of your personal data be restricted

If your data is incorrect and you have asked to amend it or if you believe that we are processing your personal data on an unlawful basis, you can request that the processing thereof be limited.

This means that we may only further process your personal data with your permission. We may continue to store your personal data, but may not carry out further processing without your consent, except in the context of legal proceedings, for the protection of natural or legal persons or for important reasons of public interest.

 

  • You can request to transfer your personal data directly to a third party

If you wish, you can ask us to transfer the data that you have provided to us yourself or directly to a third party. The Regulation does provide for a number of restrictions on this right, so that it does not apply in all cases. This must of course be examined on a case-by-case basis.

 

  • You can sometimes refuse to have your data processed completely automatically

Some data processing and processes are fully automated without human intervention. However, we do not use this with regard to the processing of your personal data.

Should this nevertheless be the case and if you do not agree with such a fully automated process, you can lodge an objection against it, so that your personal data will no longer be processed in this way.

Here, too, a number of exceptions apply, which must be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

 

  • You can withdraw your consent

If your personal data is processed on the basis of consent (see point 3), you can withdraw this consent at any time. We will then have to delete your personal data.

 

If you wish to exercise one or more of these rights, please contact us at the contact address above and clearly specify which right you wish to exercise.

In addition, we inform you that you can at any time submit a complaint to the supervisory authority if you believe that we are not complying with your rights as stated above.
